The Vice Minister of Health, Ivette Berrío said that this year it is planned to immunize about 200,000 people in the country with vaccines to combat various diseases. Last year the coverage during the VWA was about 183 thousand people.
Application of vaccines in areas of difficult access
For her part, Miss Hewiit, in charge of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), referred to the vaccination campaigns in areas of difficult access where she highlighted that they traveled by air, land and sea to cover the number of immunized people, including the counties.
He reiterated to parents that this is a good opportunity to go with their children to health facilities or allow nursing teams access to homes to complete the vaccination scheme for minors.
Among the vaccines that will be placed are: BCG Freeze-dried, Hepatitis B, hexavalent, conjugated pneumococcus, polysaccharide pneumococcus, rotavirus, hepatitis A, Human Papilloma Virus (1), Human Papilloma Virus (2), TDAP, MMR, MR, TD, chickenpox, DPT, tetravalent, influenza, rabies vaccine, PPD, meningococcus, yellow fever, Covid-19 and boosters at the corresponding ages.
