Mendoza water treatment plant will operate at 75% on Monday, April 17

The Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) announces that on Monday, April 17, the Mendoza water treatment plant will operate at 75% of its capacity from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. due to maintenance work to be carried out by the Authority of the Panama Canal (ACP) in one of the equipment of the pumping station.

Given this situation, the water supply will be affected by low pressures or lack of drinking water in the Corregimientos of Herrera, El Coco, Guadalupe, Playa Leona, Puerto Caimito, Barrio Balboa and Barrio Colón in the district of La Chorrera, in turn the Corregimiento Juan Demóstenes Arosemena and part of Vista Alegre in the district of Arraiján.

All necessary measures will be taken to reduce the effects of this maintenance, attending to sensitive points such as the hospitals in the districts of La Chorrera and Arraiján that are affected through tank cars.

EI IDAAN recommends taking the necessary measures to avoid shortages during the time that the works last and the system recovers.
