Jinotega residents mourn the death by submersion of three of their citizens. One of them is the young Ariel Pinedawho lost his life trying to cross the Hidro Pantasma dam, located in the community of Antioquia, about twenty kilometers east of the municipal seat of Santa María de Pantasma.
According to witnesses, the young man was drinking liquor and after entering the water, he asked for help, but his drinking friends thought it was just a joke.

The community members organized themselves, proceeded to search for her body in the dam until they removed it and took it to her relatives in the community of Antioquia.
Without parental guardianship
The Facebook page NotiPantasma announced death by submersion of a minor on the Kininowas River, located in the municipality of San José de Bocay.
According to the note, the minor entered a pool in the river without the guardianship of his parents and could no longer leave. He was rescued lifeless by community members, who returned him to his family.
Another victim was Santos Ernesto Zeledon56 years old, who while drunk entered the river located in the community of La Marañosa in the municipality of Wiwilí.
According to witnesses, Zeledón entered the river with the intention of taking a dip, but due to his condition he could not get out of the water and was rescued lifeless by people who were in the place and handed over to his relatives.
