The tax collection January 2022 amounted to $1,556 million, which represents a growth of 19% compared to the same period in 2021, in which $1,303 million were collected.
Marisol Andrade, general director of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI), reported that in the first month of this year $253 million plus income entered the fiscal coffers.

The largest contribution came from Value Added Tax (VAT), which in January 2022 generated $827 million; that is, an increase of 31% in relation to January of the previous year.
