Angel Valdes | March 31, 2023

The presidential candidate and former president, Martín Torrijos, met with members of the National Council of Organized Workers (CONATO) and the General Autonomous Central of Workers of Panama (CGTP).

During the meeting, the union movements expressed their concern about the lack of spaces in society to discuss important issues in the country.

Issues of education, health, the Social Security Fund and the lack of training of human resources at the national level were also discussed.

“Through dialogue and permanent consultation, we are going to reach agreements and find effective solutions to the problems that affect our people,” said Torrijos.

The union leaders also highlighted the negotiation table that was held during the government of former President Martín Torrijos.

This is the second conversation that the presidential candidate Martín Torrijos has carried out with union movements and civil society organizations, as part of the work tours and permanent consultation that he carries out.
