For this Friday, a citizen demonstration was called whose main claims are the regulated buses and the lousy public transport service. The central meeting point is the headquarters of the MOPC.
Blas Flecha, one of the organizers, told Radio Urbana that they decided to organize the citizen protest in the face of the unsustainable situation that is experienced by the regulated public transport.
The initial call is in Democracy Squarepoint from which they will depart in caravan to the esplanade of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC)in the microcenter of Asunción.

“We want public transport to improve, to be of quality and to really be public. We are living a stage in which public transport is increasingly precarious and it directly affects all citizens,” he said.
In this regard, he mentioned that this problem is transversal and affects everyone, both workers and students, public officials and other people that necessarily must be mobilized by bus for their activities.
The demands and claims to be expressed in this protest include an audit of electronic ticketing, the resignation of the Vice Minister of Transport, Víctor Sánchez, and transparency in subsidies to transport companies.
