The first weekend of February registered an average of 87% occupancy in the main tourist valleys of the province of Córdoba, with peaks of 97% in some localities, reported the Córdoba Tourism Agency (ACT).
“Córdoba has had a January with high occupancy with averages of 90% and full occupancy peaks, and February started very positively,” the president of the ACT, Esteban Avilés, told the local media.
Meanwhile, the president of the Chamber of Tourism of the Province of Córdoba, José González, told Télam “there was an important tourist movement in all the valleys of Córdoba” during the weekend, and added that “it is expected that by February the occupation is similar to January.
The data collected by the ACT details that in Villa Carlos Paz, the city with the most tourist places in the province, this weekend reached 81% occupancy, while in the same Punilla valley the town of Villa Giardino had an average of 85%.
In the Traslasierra valley, occupation was between 90 and 98% in the towns of Mina Clavero, Nono and Las Rabonas.
In the Calamuchita Valley, Villa General Belgrano maintained an average of 97% throughout the week, while Santa Rosa de Calamuchita, Rumipal and Potrero de Garay averaged between 90 and 93%.
In the Paravachasca valley, the city of Alta Gracia registered 99% occupancy and La Serranita 90%.
In Miramar, the city on the edge of Laguna Mar Chiquita, its capacity was 97% occupied.
The province of Córdoba has approximately 170,000 places available for accommodation in different formats (hotels, cabins, houses and apartments), of which around 55,000 are located in Villa Carlos Paz, the main tourist destination in Córdoba.
