If the health subcenter in Capellanía de Natá does not open, residents will go to the streets

A newly remodeled health sub-center, with equipment and personnel, is closed in Capellanía de Natá, Coclé province, and the residents warn that if their doors do not open they will go out into the streets.

They assure that they have asked the health authorities to intervene in the situation, pwro they have had no response.

According to Bienvenida González, from the Chaplaincy Health Committee, more than 60,000 dollars were invested in this health facility but it has not been opened because they must pay 12,000 dollars to Naturgy to remove a post that is in the subcenter area.

He explained that the subcenter closed for remodeling and was scheduled to open on August 29, 2019, but the pandemic arrived and it was not possible. Now, the Naturgy company claims that it should be paid to move the light pole.

The residents state that the equipment is deteriorating and ask the Ministry of Health not to turn a blind eye.

The company explained that the removal and transfer of facilities will be carried out by them once the budget is requested and the payment is made.
