Bilateral cessation with Clan del Golfo would exacerbate situation in Buenaventura: Ombudsman

Following the announcement by the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro, on the bilateral ceasefire with the Clan del Golfo, The Pacific Regional Ombudsman’s Office expressed its concern for the communities that are confined and displaced due to clashes between armed groups.

Meanwhile, the commander of the Second Marine Brigade, José Domingo Cantillo, specified that the actions in the territory will be reinforced to safeguard the communities affected and counter attacks of the Gulf Clan.
