The executive director of the National Institute for the Protection of Consumer Rights (Pro Consumidor), Eddy Alcántara, will travel to Washington, United States.
Alcántara will participate in a meeting of the Consumer Safety and Health Network (RCSS) and the Inter-American Rapid Alert System (SIAR) of the Organization of American States (OAS), to be held on March 27 and 28.
At the meeting, the official will discuss the role played by Pro Consumidor and the counterpart organizations in Central America for the protection of the tourist consumer and cross-border trade.
The head of Pro Consumidor and president pro tempore of the Consumer Protection Council of Central America and the Dominican Republic (CONCADECO), will also hold a meeting with the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, where they will discuss different issues on consumer protection
