Prosecutor denounces Barcelona for corruption in the 'Negreira case'

After almost a year of researchthe prosecutor’s office announced that it will denounce FC Barcelona and the former president, Josep María Bartomeu, for the millionaire payments to the former arbitration leader José María Enríquez Negreira. The order was issued this Tuesday to the State Attorney General.

This accuses the club of corruption in business, unfair administration and falsehood. The total sum would reach seven million euros in exchange for alleged arbitration advisory services between 2001 and 2018.

The prosecution looks at the sums of money that Negreira withdrew in cash from different banking entities. The final destination of the money is unknown.

In the same way, there are more former presidents of Barca who have been affected by this case. Joan Gaspart, Joan Laporta and Sandro Rosell They were in command of the club during the aforementioned period.

The complaint passed into the hands of a court in Barcelona after the agents of the National Police Corps collected the necessary information.
