Combating the practice of crimes of tax evasion and embezzlement is the objective of Operation Dark Book, by the Federal Police in conjunction with the Federal Revenue Service, this Tuesday (07).PF and Revenue target taxpayers who defrauded data

According to the PF, the investigations revealed that with the help of a financial consultant and an accountant, Individual Income Tax (IRPF) declarations of self-employed professionals, were rectified in order to illegally obtain a higher value to be refunded by the Lion to the taxpayer. The estimate is that the damage to the treasury reaches R$ 62 million.

“During the work, it was identified that the consultancy also worked with other professional categories. Efforts were made to avoid receiving undue refunds”, informed the Revenue.

In the action, in which 10 tax auditors and tax analysts and 16 federal police officers participated, four search and seizure warrants were executed in Minas Gerais, issued by the 3rd Federal Criminal Court of the Judiciary Subsection of Belo Horizonte.

The Justice also decreed the seizure and blockade of goods and values ​​of those involved. Those responsible for tax consultancy may respond in court for crimes of larceny and against the tax order.

The penalty provided for the crime of increased larceny is up to five years of imprisonment and a fine.
