Public purchases: awards of companies led by women reached S/4,454 million

In the women’s week, the State Procurement Supervisory Body (OSCE) revealed that companies led by women represented 11% of what was awarded during 2022, which was equivalent to S/4,454 million, according to the Participation tool the woman in the .

In addition, since this tool was created in 2020 until February 25 of this year, companies run by women were awarded a total of S/11,876 million.

“Regarding geographic distribution, the central and southern regions of the country are the ones with the highest percentage of female participation in public purchases in the last three years (2020-2023), highlighting Junín with 14.2%, followed by the Cusco region, with 13.8%, and Puno, with 13.2%. In Lima, participation is 12.1%”, reported the OSCE.

At the level of types of contracting, in said period, the adjudication of goods totaled S/5,162.1 millionwhile services totaled S/4,018.7 million and works S/2,615 million.

By type of provider, legal persons stood out, with S/9,533.5 million awarded, followed by consortia with companies led by women, with S/1,935.5 million.
