One round away from the end of the Guanabara Cup, Fluminense is looking for victory against Bangu (7th in the table) this Saturday afternoon (4th) to touch leader Flamengo, thus guaranteeing the advantage of the tie in the semifinals of the Carioca Championship. In charge of the match, Bangu decided to hold the game at the Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasília. Duel from 16h will be broadcast live on National Radio, with narration by Felipe Rangel, comments by Rodrigo Campos and reporting by Rafael Monteiro.

The team led by coach Fernando Diniz is second in the tournament, with 19 points, four less than Rubro-Negro. The Tricolor das Laranjeiras arrive packed at Mané Garricha, after three consecutive victories, with seven goals from Germán Cano, vice-scorer of Cariocão, behind only Lelê, from Volta Redonda.
In the last ten matches between Flu and Bangu, Tricolor won nine times and Bangu only once. Alvirrubro’s only triumph was in last year’s Cariocão.
The tendency is for coach Fernando Diniz to take to the field this afternoon the same team that defeated Portuguesa by 3-0 last Saturday (25): Fábio, Samuel Xavier, Nino, David Braz and Alexsander; André, Martinelli, Ganso and Arias; Keno and Cano.
Bangu, on the other hand, is looking for this Saturday (4th) to find its way back to victory after two consecutive defeats, the last one by a rout (4-0) against Volta Redonda. In charge of the team is coach Felipe Maestro, who on Friday (3) was announced as assistant to Ramon Menezes, interim coach of the Brazilian national team, in the friendly against Morocco on March 25, in Tangier.
