The Cooperativa Nacional de Servicios Múltiples de los Maestros (Coopnama), celebrates 52 years of foundation, continuing as the leading cooperative company in the Dominican Republic.
Octavio Bremón, president of the Board of Directors, recalled that for more than half a century this organization has turned out to be the most faithful ally of the national teachers, bringing solutions to thousands of homes, thus fulfilling its raison d’être.
During all those years, the Teachers’ Cooperative has grown together with its associates, he said. The entity will award new scholarships, from the most representative program of all the social work it carries out.
He maintained that with an investment of 1,473.8 million, it can be affirmed that this is the most ambitious and complete scholarship program in the entire country, “managing to present to the Homeland, so far, 1,587 young professionals fully trained to enter the demanding labor market. current”.

As is customary, the Board of Directors will allocate 2,550,000 pesos in donations for partners facing complicated health conditions and social welfare institutions from all over the country. On March 6, the day of its founding, the Teachers’ Cooperative will hold a Eucharist in the Primada de América Cathedral and will deposit an offering at the Altar of the Nation.
It was reported that, in addition, the commemorative activities that Coopnama prepares each year for both its partners and its collaborators will continue.
These activities correspond to the celebration of Women’s Day on March 8, and the national meeting of young co-opnamists, on Thursday, March 9. Simultaneous celebrations will also be held in the 302 cooperative districts nationwide, which make up the institution.
