The President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, was this Sunday at the Carnival of Melo, a festivity to which he was invited along with show personalities.
On his Instagram account, the president posted different stories. In several of them he appears taking pictures with children. In another conversation with an older person who asks him if he is going to parade. “No, each one in his place,” the president responded to laughter.

He could also be seen sitting while the parade took place and clapping his hands every time a car passed by. In each of those cars, it was also possible to observe different participants who also greeted each other with the president.

Another of the stories showed comedian Sebastián Almada on stage and asking for applause for him. “President, thank you for coming. Long live democracy, always!” Almada exclaimed.

In turn, a man with a mask showed a sign with all the names of the president (Luis Alberto Aparicio Alejandro Lacalle Pou) and the legend “Give me a ballot box and I’ll vote for it again”.
