The latter deals with the fact that the project to advance the Executive’s elections can be exempted from the lock imposed by article 78 of the Parliament’s regulations.
However, this option would still not be completely ruled out. The bench of the Magisterial Block sent a document to the head of Parliament, with which they ask that the Plenary be the one to define whether or not to apply the filing of the early elections. A similar intention was presented by Podemos Peru, requesting that this be determined by the 130 legislators in this session.
Digna Calle’s resignation from the second vice presidency of Congress also appears on the agenda. This decision was made by the parliamentarian after some of her colleagues blocked the project sent by Dina Boluarte. It should be noted that the replacement of the Podemos Peru legislator will be defined this Friday by vote.
Likewise, in the days prior to this new session, a new vacancy motion was announced against President Dina Boluarte, promoted by Somos Perú congressman Esdras Medina. This is in addition to the one presented by different left-wing groups on January 26 and which could be put on the agenda this Wednesday, if agreed upon by the Board of Spokesmen.
