Federales ready for the 2023 Caribbean Series

The Chiriquí Federales will travel tomorrow to take on the great challenge of the Gran Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series, for the second time in its history, with the commitment to represent Panama with honor.
The team takes flight tomorrow at 11:39 am via Valencia, where they will arrive at 1:57, Panamanian time.
In the morning, the team trained at the Rod Carew Stadium and then held a press conference to provide the latest details on their participation.
“The expectations are to give the best effort and try to be among the four and try to reach the final,” said José Mayorga.
The task for the Panamanians begins on February 2 against the local team, the Leones de Caracas at 7:30 pm at the La Rinconada stadium.
“We know that it will be full, that there will be a lot of energy and that it will be a good game,” he added.
Mayorga bets on the experience of former major league player Davis Romero in his debut.
“There will be many fans and it is something that fills me with emotion, because I like that the fans are there, attentive to the game, it fills me with energy,” said the left-handed man from Cocles.
Romero pitched last year in the Series against Venezuela as well, with the Los Santos Astronauts.
The rest of the rotation is Harold Araúz, Edison Frias and Steven Fuentes.
The Federales already know what that tournament is, in 2021 they reached the semifinals.
