The dollar closed this Thursday at $38,958 on the interbank averagewith a daily decrease of 0.32%, according to information from the Electronic Stock Market (Bevsa).
The operations of the day were for US$36.5 million, with a minimum price of $38.91 and a maximum of $39.05. The central bank (BCU) did not intervene in the exchange market.
The dollar ended 2022 at $40,071 and with the closing of this Thursday accumulates a fall of 2.7% so far in January. The value of the day was the lowest since December 22 of last year. That day ended at $38,589.

In Argentina, in the National Bank, the dollar traded at A$ 184.25 for purchase and A$ 192.25 for sale, with a rise of 0.39%. The Dolar bluein the parallel market, operated at A$ 381 for the purchase and A$ 385 for the sale, with a daily increase of 0.52%.
In Brazil, the dollar was at 5,065 reais with a drop of 0.23%.
Globally, the dollar index -which compares the US with a basket of six currencies- was at 101.88 units, with an increase of 0.23%.
