The students were also able to participate in 4 workshops on value proposition, business model, social viability and pitch preparation by leading exhibitors.

On the first day, panels on sustainable fashion were developed and the experience of last year’s winners of the HULT PRIZE with the project roll up. Meanwhile, on the second day, the competitors had the opportunity to present their projects in front of judges José Medina (Founder and Director of Space Latam), Gonzalo Martínez (Remango, Hult Prize 2021 Winner) and Francisco Gorichon (CEO at Fintech Solutions EAS).

After this, the judges announced the first three places that will finally be competing in the month of February. The winning team will be representing our country in the regionals. This year the final of the Hult Prize will be held in Paris, France.

First place went to NEO FASHION. This business idea was born in the search for beauty and the passion for sustainable fashion which led them to create and sell vegan leather or eco-leather made from disused covers in Paraguay. The brand offers innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions, giving a new life and opportunity to waste such as tires, transforming it into vegan leather or eco-leatherwhich is an alternative to animal leather.

The idea is to launch the raw material on the market and in the future create products made from recyclable tires such as accessories, handbags, bags, clothing and footwear that are ready-to-wear and have an elegant, sophisticated style and with trendy designs. own authorship. In addition, highlighting the differential value of vegan leather or eco-leather, of greater durability and impermeability of the material, with innovation and traceability as the focus.

In second place was bagassewhose objective is to manufacture cloth from the fiber extracted from sugarcane bagasse through a process that saves quantities of liters of water and energy.

With the manufacturing method, it is sought that the water used in the industrial process can be reused, in addition to generating a positive impact on the society of sugarcane growers, giving them the possibility of acquiring new income through this venture.

And third place went to BEESHOPwhich seeks to address the problem of the overpopulation of garments from a web Marketplacewhere users can buy, sell and learn to redesign the clothes that you no longer use. They also propose the receipt of garments that are no longer used at certain collection points, which would be donated to other organizations or used again as raw material.
