SANTO DOMINGO. – The Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos Echavarría, swore in this Tuesday the new directors of Strategic and Special Projects (Propeep), of the Administrator of Social Subsidies (Adess) and of the General Directorate of Passport; as well as the new advisor to the Presidency on Higher Education.
By Propeep, the minister swore in the communicator and film producer Roberto Ángel Salcedo, who thanked President Luis Abinader for having taken him into account for this position, for which he said that he will assume the position responsibly, and with the commitment to be part of the change that this government has promised.
Similarly, Santos Echavarría swore in Catalino Correa Hiciano as director of Adess; Digna Reynoso as the new director of Passport; as well as Francisco Vegazo Ramírez as advisor to the Presidency on Higher Education.
During the swearing-in process, Correa Hiciano expressed interest in working together in the development of projects that benefit Dominican society, while Reynoso assured that with these new functions that he assumes he will continue to contribute to the strengthening of public administration, through a clean, transparent and participatory management.
During the swearing-in, held at the National Palace, Minister Santos Echavarría extended the government’s support to the officials, and especially this Ministry of the Presidency. All officials were appointed on Monday by President Luis Abinader, through decree 15-23.
About the officials
Correa Hiciano was the comptroller general of the Republic, while Reynoso was the director of the Administrator of Social Subsidies (Adess). On his side, Vegazo Ramírez, served as rector of the Community Higher Technical Institute (ITSC); while Roberto Ángel Salcedo had no functions in the Government.
