The complaints from residents of the city of Santa Cruz for failures in garbage collection do not stop. This Saturday some neighbors made their annoyance because the collection truck did not pass through your area and, with the rains and the heat, the accumulated waste gives off a bad smell.
“We are with the baskets full of garbage. With the rain, foul-smelling liquids come out,” said a neighbor from Sayubú street, in the Las Gramas neighborhood, which is located in the Virgen de Luján avenue, by the eighth ring. The neighbor assures that before the truck passed by andsa zone on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but since the change of operators the frequency is not met and, sometimes, the truck enters, but does not cover all the streets.
The same complaint was made by Marcela Sumoya, who lives in the Magisterio neighborhood, between Paraguá and Mutualista avenues, passing the third ring road. This Thursday, the manager of the Municipal Cleaning Company of Santa Cruz (Emcruz), Andrea Hoyos, pointed out that the new companies have been making adjustments in eThe garbage collection service and it is expected that within two weeks they will regularize the schedules.
“Whenever there is a transition, there may be some difficulties, but little by little these have already been corrected,” said Hoyos, indicating that the Piraí Accidental Association and El Diez Eco Limpio started oroperations on December 26 and found the ccity with 4,000 tons of garbage on the streets because Vega-Solví worked irregularly the last two days of his contract, among other reasons.
For his part, the Emacruz Operations Manager, Ricardo Oviedo, indicated that the days of household waste collection are being maintained. Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the north zone; and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in the southern zone.
Oviedo assured that the collection in the city is 90% leveled and it is expected that in thes next few days is normalized.
