Utilization of public services increased 5.2% year-on-year in October

With information from Indec.

The use of public services during October rose 5.2% compared to the same month of 2021 and 0.3% relative to septemberreported this Wednesday the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).

During October, compared to the same month of the previous year, the demand for electricity, gas and water registered a drop of 0.8% and waste collection had a negative variation of 3.2%.

For its part, passenger transport increased 64.3% and cargo transport decreased 6.2%, while passing vehicles paying tolls increased 6.1%.

Likewise, the postal mail service showed a drop of 7.3% and the telephony sector registered a rise of 2.2%.

In seasonally adjusted terms, in October 2022 compared to September, it was observed that the demand for electricity, gas and water rose 1% and waste collection had a negative variation of 2.2%.

For their part, both passenger and cargo transportation increased 1.1% and 1.0%, respectively, and passing vehicles paying tolls increased 3.0%.

Likewise, the postal mail service fell 6.3%; while the telephony sector registered an increase of 0.1%.
