Villa Navidad says goodbye with a concert by the Youth Symphony

Christmas Village said goodbye this Friday night with a concert by the National Youth Symphony Orchestra.

The recital began with the emblematic meringues of the Christmas festivities.

Then, musical pieces by Juan Luis Guerra were interpreted, the latter sung by the thousands of people who came to the gardens of the Virgilio Travieso Soto Sports Palace of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, in the National District, where the event from the first of December to date.

Later, the orchestra enlivened the evening to the rhythm of Christmas carols, which were applauded by the hundreds of children who went with their parents.

The gala included two music sessions that fascinated the hundreds of families who went to enjoy the last day of Christmas Villagewhich for 36 days made the families of Greater Santo Domingo happy, especially the smallest of the house.

The National Youth Symphony Orchestra received the support of the public, which remained from the beginning of the show, which lasted about an hour and a half.

Trees decorated with Christmas lights and decorated houses were some of the attractions that Christmas Village exhibited as an attraction for attendees.

The activity, organized by the Presidency of the Republic, the Mayor’s Office of the National District and the Banco de Reservas, was monitored by police officers together with members of the security of Christmas Villagewho were in charge of maintaining order.

Yuleisy Medina pointed out that this type of event should be more promoted, since families can attend with their children.

“This is very nice, well organized and my son liked it”, stressed Medina, who went for the first time this Friday to Christmas Village.

He also urged the authorities to carry out this type of activity more than once a year.

“I invite the authorities to do more activities of this type for families, but not just once a year,” said the citizen, who was accompanied by her two children and her husband.

On her side, Gabriela Almonte agreed with the proposal to promote healthy recreation activities for Dominican families.

“We must continue promoting this type of event to unite Dominican families and we hope that the Government will continue to do this,” Almonte pointed out.

He invited society to support all initiatives that are to promote family unity.

“We must all support these types of initiatives at a time when society is losing values, I will always support them,” he said.

Organizer

Daniel Sarante, part of the organizers of the Christmas event, said that this year Around 60,000 people attended the activity.

“We still don’t have the exact number, but around 60,000 people have come,” Sarante told free newspaper, when being consulted about the flow of visitors to the place.

In this sense, he indicated that the Christmas Day, December 25, it was when more families visited the exhibition.

“December 25 was the day where more people visited us,” he said.
