"Operation Genesis": 136 people apprehended in the last 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, the security forces seized some B/.544.00 in cash, in addition, some 136 people were apprehended through “Operation Genesis 2022” developed at the national level.

Of these 102 were for trades, 25 for administrative offenses, 06 for flagrancy and 03 for micro-trafficking.

During these operations, 38 raids were carried out in the provinces of Panama, Panama Oeste, Colón, Chiriquí, among other sectors of the country, achieving the seizure of 10 firearms, 28 ammunition, and the recovery of 2 vehicles that had a complaint.

Also as part of this operation, the units of the National Directorate of Traffic Operations issued a total of 1,845 infractions for breaching the Traffic Regulations, among which 472 for speeding and 107 for inadequate lights stand out, 32 for talking on the cell phone, 25 expired licenses, 41 for proven drunkenness.

“Operation Genesis 2022” continues to guarantee healthy coexistence by counteracting organized crime and delinquency through the coordination of the joint work of the Security Establishments.
