Personnel from the Violations and Misdemeanors Division of the City Police carried out raids this Wednesday morning in the commercial area near the Once railway stationin the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvanera, within the framework of a case for “occupying public roads in the exercise of lucrative activity” by the so-called manteros.
According to official sources, the authorities of the Este Flagrancias Prosecutor’s Office and Criminal, Misdemeanor and Misdemeanor Court number 30 ordered 22 raids in the area, which was closed to traffic shortly before 7.
The places where the raids are carried out are the warehouses where the vendors keep the items that they display for sale in the blankets that they place on the sidewalks of a wide perimeter of the Once commercial area.
The investigation that led to the raids began three months ago, according to police sources.
