Within the framework of the assumption of the director of the Hospital de Colonia, Sebastián Olaverri, the president of the Administration of State Health Services (ASSE), Leonardo Cipriani, stressed that the intensive care center (CTI) of the institution will continue to operate and all services will be promoted. In addition, he added that a SAME 105 tomograph and base will be installed in the first half of 2023.
In his speech, Cipriani stressed that this administration has reactivated the departmental hospital. In this sense, he reported that the CTI was installed, the number of employees increased from 315 to 475 and the center was reactivated in services that were not fully fulfilled, such as the surgical unit.
He also mentioned that a molecular biology laboratory was created and the Imaging area is being strengthened. Regarding medicines, he maintained that 49 million pesos are invested a year.
Likewise, he appreciated that it is necessary to maintain the CTI, since the service indicators are favorable, and that for this purpose a series of calls for technicians, professionals and assistants are underway; there are 15 incorporations in the competition stage.
Finally, he added that in the first half of 2023, two bases of the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) 105 will be installed, one in Colonia Valdense and another in the city of Colonia. As for the tomograph, he said that it will be installed in the first half of 2023.
“The objective is to continue working to strengthen the hospital and provide patients with the best service without the need for transfers to other locations,” he said.
For his part, upon taking office, Olaverri expressed that his commitment is to work permanently and form a team to offer users the best service. On the occasion, he also took over as sub-director of the Colonia Hospital, Ramón Barbot.
