Eleven provinces were this afternoon under yellow alerts for storms, rains and winds with speeds between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour, and gusts that can exceed 100 kilometers per hour, reported the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

All the provinces of Chaco, Corrientes and Formosaand various areas of Jujuy, Misiones, Salta, Santa Fe and Santiago del Estero They will be affected by storms, some of which may be locally strong, the meteorological agency reported.

The SMN indicated that these storms “may be accompanied by gusts, hail fall, strong electrical activity and, fundamentally, abundant rainfall in short periods” and that “accumulated precipitation values ​​between 40 and 70 millimeters are expected, and may be exceeded significantly.” located”.

Regarding the alert for intense winds from the west sector, the affected area includes Tierra del Fuego, Santa Cruz and the Plateau of Río Senguer, the Plateau of Escalante, Sarmiento and Sudoeste de Florentino Ameghino in chubut.

The SMN recommended that the residents of these areas avoid outdoor activities and secure items that can be blown up.
