Migration officers are supported in their operations by soldiers from the Dominican Armed Forces and National Police.

The Dominican Director of Migration, Venancio Alcántara, stressed that these actions “have not stopped nor will they stop” in compliance with the law, immigration regulations, respect for human rights and international agreements.

At the end of last November, the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, affirmed that he is complying and will continue to comply with the laws and the Constitution of the country regarding the deportations of Haitians in an irregular situation.
