Executive Power declares non-working Monday, January 2, 2023

The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, declared the suspension of labors throughout the national territory during the next Monday, January 2, 2023.

The decision was made official through the decree 773-22, considering that if the incorporation of work is allowed, full family enjoyment of the New Year’s holiday would be prevented and congestion would be generated on the main roads of the country, which could represent a risk to people and property.

The measure also instructs the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Public Administration to determine the form of application of the aforementioned suspension in the public and private sectors.
