It is expected that the cold front 20 will extend today over the northwest and north of the national territory, which will cause strong gusts of wind, showers and occasional rains and will continue the conditions for the fall of sleet or snow in the mountains of Sonora, Chihuahua and Durango, reported the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

He added that the ingress of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea will cause rains and showers in the southeast of the country, as well as in the Yucatan Peninsula, with heavy occasional rains in Quintana Roo.

Maximum temperatures of 35 to 40 degrees are expected in Tamaulipas, Michoacán and Guerrero, while the minimum temperatures for Friday morning will be minus 10 to -5 degrees with frost in mountainous areas of Chihuahua and Durango, he said.

Temperatures of up to -5 and 0 degrees with frost are expected in mountainous areas of Baja California, Sonora, Coahuila, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Guanajuato and the state of Mexico.

He estimated minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with possible frost in mountainous areas of Michoacán, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Mexico City and Morelos.
