In a message on his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that in security and defense missions the FANB dismantled the camp used by armed groups that disrespect territorial ordering and destroy the environment with the mining illegal.

“In Security and Defense missions #FANB disables 8 engines, 6 power plants and other structures used arbitrarily in the Cerro Yapacana National Park by armed groups that, disrespecting territorial ordering, destroy the environment with illegal mining,” he published.

Hernández Lárez emphasized that in the Yapacana Park, in Amazonas, officials deactivated structures installed for illegal mining, “ignoring the Laws of the Republic.”

“FANB deployed in Yapacana – Amazonas deactivating and dismantling illegal mining structures, who ignore the Laws of the Republic and violate all kinds of orders and regulations for the conservation of the natural environment and biodiversity,” he said.

Given this procedure, the Chief of the Ceofanb stressed that the FANB will be “deployed in the state of Amazonas in defense of our National Sovereignty.”

He added that these structures belong to organizations associated with the Colombian Armed Terrorist Drug Trafficking groups (Tancol), which violate national sovereignty and regulations related to environmental conservation.

Likewise, Hernández Lárez indicated that the FANB troops will remain deployed in the states of Amazonas and Bolívar, to face criminal activities related to illegal mining.

FANB active in Bolívar

The Chief of Ceofanb highlighted that in Bolívar a criminal structure belonging to the group calling itself El Tren de Guayana, dedicated to the exploitation of illegal mining, was dismantled.

“In the state of Bolívar, #FANB dismantles the criminal structure of the armed group calling itself El Tren de Guayana, dedicated to the exploitation of illegal mining, human trafficking and drug trafficking, finding in its possession mortars and grenades for military use,” he said on Twitter.

On the other hand, Hernández Lárez specified that in the Las Vainitas sector of the Roscio municipality, in Bolívar state, FANB troops intervened several camps set up by the criminal group Tren de Guayana, also dedicated to mining in Zones Protected by the Venezuelan State .

Faced with the discovery of camps and these illegal mining practices, the Chief of Ceofanb stressed that “no organization will be above the goals of the State or its laws, nor the Sovereignty of the People reflected in the Magna Carta. The armed groups that commit ecocide and practice illegal mining in the Guayanesa Region will be legally intervened by the #FANB and OSC”.
