The Colombian athlete Egan Bernal continues to evolve favorably at the La Sabana University Clinic in Bogotá after undergoing surgery after suffering an accident on his bicycle last Monday, January 24.
The champion of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia, is in the recovery stage with treatment to manage the pain resulting from the blows and injuries sustained in the spectacular crash against the back of a bus.

For her, Egan was “reborn.”
“My happiness could be compared to what I felt 25 years ago because I felt that my son was born again,” wrote the zipaquireña on her social networks.
In dialogue with Caraco Radio, Flor reflected on the accident and describes Egan’s recovery as a “miracle.”
“Thank you all, it’s a whole country praying for him. This is one more sign that miracles exist, that God is working on it. Things are going well, surgeries have been successful.
“At this time we must continue to pray for the recovery to be a success. We are doing well,” added Flor, the cyclist’s mother.
On the other hand, the players of the Colombian National Team also sent an encouraging message to the INEOS cyclist.
The spokesperson was taken by Radamel Falcao García, captain of Colombia, who with microphone in hand wished the 24-year-old rider a speedy recovery.
