The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, is hospitalized at the Vila Nova Star Hospital, in São Paulo. According to the medical bulletin, the governor was submitted this morning (8) to a myocardial revascularization surgery, a procedure that is better known as a saphenous vein bypass.
According to the hospital, Caiado is doing well, but should remain hospitalized in the next few days for recovery. The medical team that assists him is coordinated by cardiologist and intensivist Ludhmila Hajjar.
A note sent by the press office of the government of Goiás reported that Caiado underwent surgery after routine exams had detected coronary obstructions.
