The president of the Congress, Joseph Williamswill not participate in the call to council of state made by the Judiciary, because it requires “prior coordination for the presentation of proposals agreed upon with all levels of Congress.”
“The call for a Council of State must compromise the predisposition of its members for an honest and transparent public action that contributes to strengthening the structures of a modern State with suitable officials who transmit confidence”reads the letter released this Sunday by Congress.
This absence is added to that of the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides, who indicated that she will not attend because she is in charge of various investigations against the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.
