In this sense, Macron pointed out through his Twitter account that “we were all around the table of the Paris Forum on peace.” On November 11, after the conclusion of the meeting, the presidents highlighted their willingness to relaunch the negotiations in Mexico. Among the proposals they presented to return to talks with guarantees, the signing of a pre- and post-election coexistence pact stands out.

The meeting was also attended by the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Anniken Huitfeldt, and the French ambassador in Caracas, Romain Nadal. However, at the end of the meeting, an exact date on which the process could be restarted in Mexico was not reported.
A note published by Chronicle One highlights that, in a greeting to the President of Argentina, Macron, he stated that both countries have strong convergences on fundamental issues such as the protection of the environment, the fight against inequality, the protection of children, the end of the war in Ukraine and the situation in Venezuela, “where our cooperation and our alignment of points of view are strong.”

On November 7, Nicolás Maduro met with Macron during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which takes place from November 6 to 18, in Egypt.
During the meeting, both leaders shook hands and had a brief conversation. Emmanuel Macron told him that he would like them to talk a little more “and that we could start bilateral work that is useful for the country and for the region.”
In this sense, Maduro replied that for the Paris Forum for Peace, which will be held on November 11 and 12 of this year, Jorge Rodríguez, president of the National Assembly elected in 2020, will attend.
