National Police capture 143 people for different crimes in Operation Isthmus

In an interview with Radio Panama, Deputy Commissioner Bill Rodríguez, gave details of the events that occurred in the last 24 hours with the Isthmus operation that is carried out throughout the national territory that resulted in the capture of 143 people for different criminal acts, in addition to the seizure of firearms and recovery of vehicles.

“In this Isthmus operation, 28 raids were generated, which generated 143 arrests, of which 82 people were brought before the authorities for trades, 9 for flagrancy, 42 people for administrative offenses, 8 for micro-trafficking of illicit substances, one person for the crime of drug trafficking, 37 firearms were recovered, a total of 1,727 ammunition and 1,265 dollars seized in this operation,” Rodríguez highlighted.

In addition, I report that 1,301 traffic violations were placed, two vehicles reported as stolen were recovered, one car seized and 10 packages of drug packages seized.

Regarding the capture of two suspects in the robbery of a jewelry store in Obarrio, I confirm that a search proceeding was carried out in San Miguelito and both people are under the orders of the competent authorities to determine responsibilities.
