About 500 people from the peasant patrols and agrarian leaders from all over the country will arrive in Lima on November 10 to ask the President Pedro Castillo to close the Congressfor which they pointed out that a matter of trust should be made about the second agrarian reform.
“That the president make a matter of trust in the name of the norms, of the reforms that the Legislature already has ready. One of them: the second agrarian reform”, said the secretary of the Federation of Peasant Communities of Pasco, Nelson Sanchez.
The leader referred to the bill presented by Congressman oscar zea and that later as minister supported in the Congress; as well as the bill that is being prepared in the Executive on the subject.
According to sources from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) yes, there is in this instance a draft bill of the second agrarian reform that has not yet been presented to Parliament. Regarding this project, the leader assured that all the farmers’ associations of the 25 regions have participated with his proposals since the time of the then holder of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), Victor Maita Frisancho.
Sanchez reported that a block of protesters will also make a sit-in that day in front of the Midagri to demand the departure of the current minister of this sector, Patricia Ocampo, because they assure that he knows nothing about the agrarian sector.
Along the same lines, the patrolman Marino Flores stressed that the objective of the mobilization is to Castle is committed to promoting constituent Assembly to replace this Parliament to draft a new Constitution. He also requested the departure of Minister Ocampo.
”We are asking for the resignation of the current minister. She has shown incapacity, It has not solved the problem of urea, the corruption that is entrenched in the Ministry of Agriculture, nor the second agrarian reform. On the 10th we are going to make a sit-in at the Midagri”, said Flores.
