Police agents arrested two men in the municipality of La Descubierta, province of Independencia, when they supposedly found 136 portions of various drugs.
The South Regional Directorate of Police based in Barahona, identified the two men as Miguel Peralta and Alexis Méndez, 28 and 23 years old, residents of the same community where they were arrested.
The institution of order indicated that when they were registered, the detainees carried over 136 portions of various narcotic substances. Which 88 correspond to white powder, 47 to a rocky material and 1 to a green vegetable, presumably cocaine, crack and marijuana.
In addition, a scale, a five-inch knife, 3 US dollars and 4,900 Dominican pesos were seized.
Peralta and Méndez will be sent to the Public Ministry in the next few hours for the corresponding purposes.
