The moratorium period, decreed by the Municipal Council, enters this Monday, October 31, in its last month of validity, for which the municipal authorities urged taxpayers to pay their debts or make payment arrangements to enjoy this benefit.
The initiative, which began on August 15 and ends on November 31, grants tax relief to taxpayers in the 26 districts of the district of Panama who are exempt from one hundred percent of surcharges and interest on taxes owed .
The mayor’s office reiterated that in order to benefit from the moratorium it is essential that the taxpayer be able to make a payment arrangement or cancel the entire debt.
In addition, the taxpayer must not maintain affidavits pending presentation, nor active payment arrangements to date.
