President Mulino strengthens diplomatic ties between Panama and the United Kingdom

The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, held an official meeting this Tuesday with the ambassador of the United Kingdom, James Eduard Dauris, with the aim of strengthening diplomatic and commercial ties between both nations.
During the meeting, they discussed British interest in financing infrastructure works in Panama and the possible visit of the Prime Minister, Keir Rodney Starmer, as a way to further strengthen the relationship between the two nations.

President Mulino and Ambassador Dauris also discussed the issue of discriminatory tax lists against Panama, and to see how the United Kingdom can collaborate in explaining that this is an injustice against a country that received 187 votes to be part of the Council. of Security at the UN.

In today’s meeting at the Palacio de las Garzas, which included the participation of the Panamanian Foreign Minister, Javier Martínez-Acha, both parties also reiterated their position of working together for global stability.
The United Kingdom ambassador thanked President Mulino for his decision to expedite the process of raising the flag against those ships that are being designated as violators of sanctions against countries that do not respect international law.
