‘They have asked for 10% of the salary (from the sub-prefect)’: the audio that caused the resignation of leaders of the Magisterial Party

'They have asked for 10% of the salary (from the sub-prefect)': the audio that caused the resignation of leaders of the Magisterial Party

“They have been asking for 10% of the deposit, he was telling me that they were demanding, something normal voluntary, but that they are demanding is different; we have supported the president voluntarily, not in a compulsory way” is what the father of the sub-prefect of Chiguata demands of Rosa Luz Pérez, general secretaryin registration process.

This is the fragment of a telephone call dated September 30 that caused the resignation of five (out of six) leaders of the Magisterial Party of the Arequipa headquarters due to the illegal acts that the secretary of the organization was committing and that, in addition, also they caused the resignation of the sub-prefect of Chiguata, Luis Fernando Yauli Vilva.

“You know that they are proposals from political organizations and you know how that is handled. It was not a specific and explicit percentage, but it should have been fulfilled voluntarily and it was not done,” Rosa Luz responds to the claim received.

Collections and appointments by finger

The secretary of the Teachers’ Party of Arequipa would not be acting alone; She would have as support the regional prefect of Arequipa, Yeremi Torres, who is accused of planning these charges and appointments by finger in the sub-prefectures of her region.

So he reported it to Peru21 Juan Carlos Jaquehua, former secretary of political affairs of the Magisterial Party, who is part of the group of resigning leaders and decided to leave the position of provincial deputy prefect of Arequipa in August of this year after constant harassment by Prefect Torres.

“Yesterday (Saturday, October 29) we have resigned five leaders who were from the Teachers’ Party due to those audios that involve the general secretary in charging 10% to the prefects, taking into account that the prefect has been evaluating that with her ” He told this newspaper.

And he added: “I resigned (from the sub-prefecture of Arequipa) due to the harassment (by Yeremi Torres), the prefect began to evict me, to kick me out of the sub-prefecture itself. He has been denying that he belongs to the Magisterial Party and it is totally false, they have been evaluating and making irregular appointments”.

“Personal Appetites”

In addition, Juan Carlos Jaquehua made a call to the signatories of the party’s lists. “We have warned and told all the teachers who have supported us with their signature (for party registration) to withdraw their signature from the forms that are being misused by these people for their personal appetites and profit,” he said.

On the other hand, he estimated that the payment made would be S/300 per district deputy prefect, since these authorities would have an approximate salary of S/2,800.

Perú21 consulted with Yeremi Torres about the complaints against him and denied everything. “I have already completely disassociated myself more than a week ago, I have initiated legal actions for defamation of the people who have wanted to involve me, without any evidence,” she reported.

Rosa Pérez, for her part, denied this charge and supported Prefect Torres’ management. “I deny that any payment has been collected or requested from the sub-prefects; we propose, we do not designate. The regional prefect does not designate either, he directs them and does it very well, ”she told this newspaper.

Data

  • The leaders of Arequipa asked President Pedro Castillo to remove Rosa Pérez and Yeremi Torres from their positions.
  • According to the resignations, “she (Pérez) says that with that money she supposedly supported the party, but it is false.”
