Beatriz Denis asks the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the alleged whereabouts of the remains of Óscar Denis in Amambay

Beatriz Denis, daughter of Óscar Denis, reported at a press conference that it is very painful for them to receive the information that her father’s remains would be in the “Mbokaja’i” community of Amambay.

“It is a painful moment, since it is not easy to hear negative news about dad’s situation. He hurts and saddens us as his name is being groped. The Prosecutor’s Office must clarify this situation, if there is information and it was not communicated to the corresponding channels, the person responsible must answer for his actions, “he said.

Then, he asked for respect for the three hostages.

CONTEXT

Ana Dina Coronel, former coordinator of women’s prisons at the Ministry of Justice, reported at a press conference that the body of Óscar Denis, former Vice President of the Republic, would be in an indigenous community.

He explained that this information was obtained thanks to the inmate and member of the self-styled “Army of the Paraguayan People” Carmen Villalba. She also assured that she passed the information to Édgar Olmedo, Minister of Justice at that time, as well as to Daniel Benítez, former Deputy Minister of Justice who was appointed as head of the position this Monday. Despite this, there was no search operation.
