The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Sunday for his victory in the second round of the presidential elections in Brazil.
The president also celebrated the determination of the peoples to remain free.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Carlos Faría published a statement from the Venezuelan government to greet Lula’s electoral victory.
Faría congratulated the newly elected president for his victory, which he also attributed to popular struggles in Latin America.
