The Ministry of Health detailed 6,324 new cases, of which 3,683 correspond to symptomatic people and 678 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,963 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,728,938. and recovered patients reached 4,643,198. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 7 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 61,584 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 15.81% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 12,595 people and PCR tests amounted to 40,049 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 45,974,061.
Meanwhile, there are 97 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 61 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,888 critical beds enabled and 311 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 17.56%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Metropolitana, Biobío and La Araucanía.
