The national government points out that “a little more courage” is missing from certain authorities to finalize the dialogue in Santa Cruz, and thus avoid the start of the indefinite strike, which requires the census to be carried out in 2023.
Jorge Richter, presidential spokesman, confirmed the rapprochement with members of the Santa Cruz inter-institutional committeealthough he warned “pressure” by Governor Fernando Camacho, so that a conversation table cannot be installed.
“To have the dialog table installed I understand that there is still a lack of will and a little more courage on the part of certain authorities in Santa Cruz.who are still afraid of these pressures that the governor is exerting, to prevent a dialogue from being installed in Bolivia that allows us to avoid the issue of unemployment, ”said the authority.
He reiterated that the Government’s proposal is “make a collective decision together, because it is not a regional decision”. They urge that any dialogue be technical and include all those who have an interest in conducting the census.
The press conferences:
“The strike makes no sense to be carried out, we believe that it is absolutely unnecessary for Santa Cruz to be led to economic harm and to a risk of violence like the one they have generated in previous civic strikes”, he indicated.
He confirmed that “who hinders dialogue in our country is the governorbecause he has indicated that he has nothing to discuss with the Government because he has a mandate from the council” and noted a similar position in some members of the civic committee.
