The plenary of the National Assembly (AN), approved by a qualified majority the bill that regulates the use of the name, title and effigy of El Libertador Simón Bolívar.
The regulations are based on article one of the Constitution, which establishes in its fundamental principles the doctrine of Simón Bolívar, El Libertador, as the foundation of the Republic.
The new law has 11 articles, a derogatory provision and a final one, it proposes to declare the name, titles and effigy of El Libertador Simón Bolívar, as material and immaterial historical heritage of the nation, thus also indicating the duty of every citizen to exalt and honor to the Venezuelan hero.
The members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) present in the eight Strategic Regions of Integral Defense (REDI) participated in the public consultation.
With this regulation, the use of the name and effigy of El Libertador Simón Bolívar will be regulated.
