The San Antonio Oral Criminal Court (TOP) decreed preventive detention against Jeremy Rodríguez Carvallo, the main suspect in the death of Carabineros Second Sergeant Carlos Retamal in the framework of an inspection in a clandestine race.
In this way, the magistrate agreed to the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, the plaintiff lawyers of the Ministry of the Interior and the relatives of the police officer.

On the other hand, the Oral Criminal Court decreed an investigation period of 120 days due to the nature of the facts and the crimes for which Jeremy Rodríguez Carvallo was formalized.
