As long as the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) maintains the ‘yellow alert’ in the provinces of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, in addition, in the Ngäbe Buglé region, classes will continue to be suspended in these areas of the country.
This was announced by the Ministry of Education (Meduca), by reiterating to the educational communities that they must take extreme security measures in the face of future climate risks, in addition to requesting that they be aware of the instructions of Sinaproc and other security agencies.
The Meduca also said that they will resume, this Tuesday, October 11, classes in official and private schools in the provinces of Coclé, Colón, Darién, Herrera, Los Santos, Panama, West Panama and Veraguas, because Sinaproc lifted the ‘ yellow alert’ in these places.
In some sectors of these provinces, located in vulnerable areas and that were affected by rains, floods and other climatic events, the educational communities must be attentive to the reports from Sinaproc and Meduca, to coordinate the return to school structures.
