Santa Cruz Government Biodiversity Team rescues and releases a boa

The Biodiversity team of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development and Environment of the Government of Santa Cruz moved 150 kilometers from the north of the Santa Cruz capital to free a boa constrictorthe same one that was found days ago, loitering on a private property in the municipality of Cotoca.

After the animal was examined by the veterinarians of the Wildlife Care and Referral Center (CAD) and verifying that the reptile was in good condition, the decision was made to release it.

“We have released this specimen in a part of the remnant forest (reserve) where we know that the animal will find everything it needs to be able to live calmly and healthily,” said Eliamne Gutiérrez, wildlife rescuer.
